There exist
differences and similarities between these two marriage ceremonies. In the
Hindu ceremony of marriage, celebrations and traditions can last for days while
the ceremony for Ashkenazi Jews only lasts no more than an hour. What is
similar between these two cultures is that during the final stages of each
ceremony, the bride and groom are required to partake in seven actions that
serve to symbolize sanctity. It is Hindu tradition for both the bride and groom
to take steps that signify different aspects of their martial relationship, and
in Ashkenazi Jewish culture, it is also required for the two spouses to
recite seven blessings that reference their creation and destiny anointed to
them by god, over their newly formed marriage.
this will help people see the same in different religions
